So here’s the 50 pound pile of fun:
After untangling everything and separating various harnesses it was a little easier to see what exactly is going on:
Quick, we need to diffuse the bomb! Green wire or red wire?! Or is it red-orange, red-white, green-red, light green, green-yellow…****!
Now it’s time to start consulting the wiring manual to see what exactly is needed and what is not. The following is coming out, just to name a few:
Airbags
Door locks
Power windows
Clock
HVAC
Dome light
Map light
Seat belt sensors
Door sensors
Cruise control
Etc…
Once a decent amount is done I’ll post some before and after pics. I’ll probably start with the rear harness since it’s the easiest.
