We have some good news and some bad news. Hopefully the good news makes up for the bad news…I’ll see in the coming days.
Let’s start off with the good news, shall we? The Blouch Dominator 3.0r showed up today!

So, with the good news out of the way, here’s the bad news:
As you can see, the bottom left corner of the inlet is bent. The inlet was round in all of the pictures I was sent before I bought it. I’m sure the seller is going to try to say it happened in shipping but there was no damage to the box and the bubble wrap wasn’t even popped. It’s pretty clear he just dropped the turbo on the ground and sent it out.
With that said, the turbine itself is fine, everything still spins perfectly, there’s no shaft play, and the inlet is round where the turbine is. It appears just the lip of the inlet is bent. It doesn’t really matter anyway since it’s going to have to be replaced due to more BS from the seller. I was told this was a 3″ inlet and that the flapper was welded shut for an EWG. Then the turbo shows up and it’s a 2.4″ inlet with IWG. Again, not a huge deal…it’s not hard to weld a flapper shut and the inlet can be swapped to a 3″ relatively easily, but it’s still a pain.
I’m going to send the Turbo off to Blouch and have them inspect it, replace the inlet with a 3″ one, and weld the flapper shut. I expect the seller to at least pay for the replacement of the inlet as this should be considered as a “repair” for the goods that he damaged. There is a paypal dispute open right now, we’ll see what happens.
